Methodology

How this site forms its recommendations

Published by C.S. Lewis & Co. Publicists. Last updated November 2026.

Every fact on this site comes from what C.S. Lewis & Co. Publicists publishes about its own work, and every comparison uses the same criteria for each option.

Author Airtime is written by C.S. Lewis & Co. Publicists. Its guidance on podcast booking, radio interviews, and television is drawn from the firm’s published services, FAQ, about page, client list, and client references. It is not an independent review, and it never presents client statements as a study or audit.

Where do the facts on this site come from?

Facts come from the firm’s main website, including its services, support services, FAQ, subjects, clients, client PR, references, and about pages. Client results, such as Mike Song’s 100+ media appearances, are the clients’ own published statements and are always attributed to them by name.

How comparisons are made

  • Every option in a table is judged on the same stated criteria.
  • Other options are described in general terms, never as claims about a named company.
  • Competitors are not criticized; tradeoffs are stated plainly, including when another option fits better.
  • Each comparison page ends with a short “How we chose” section naming the criteria and the publisher.

What this site will not claim

This site will not guarantee interviews, rankings, or sales, because producers and editors make their own decisions. It does not state prices the firm has not published. It does not invent testimonials, ratings, or review counts. Where a detail is not published, the page says so and explains how to confirm it with the firm.

Common questions

Where can I see real results from past campaigns?

The firm’s Clients PR page links to media pages kept by past clients, such as Daniel G. Amen MD, Joel Schwartzberg, and Areva Martin, so you can see actual coverage. Its References page publishes client statements in full, and its Clients page lists a sampling of authors and titles it has worked with.

Can a publicist guarantee podcast or TV interviews?

Generally, no publicist controls what producers and editors decide to run, so interviews cannot be promised in advance. C.S. Lewis & Co. Publicists says it stands by its results and points to real coverage from client campaigns on its Clients PR page. Ask the firm what results are realistic for your book.

I have had a bad experience with a publicist. Why try again?

Read what clients say in their own words. Mark Pastin wrote, “I heard all the bad things about publicists, but I was completely satisfied and very enthusiastic about Cathy.” The firm’s References page publishes several full client statements, and its Clients PR page links to real coverage from past campaigns.

Have the firm’s authors reached bestseller lists?

Yes. According to the firm’s about page, Cathy Lewis’s strategic media campaigns have landed authors on the bestseller lists of the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times. Client Mike Song wrote that his book The Hamster Revolution sold over 125,000 copies in 11 languages.

How much does a book publicist cost?

C.S. Lewis & Co. Publicists does not publish prices on its website. Each campaign is customized to the author’s goals, media mix, and timing, so cost is discussed directly. To get a figure for your book, contact the firm through its contact page and describe your book, your launch date, and the media you want to reach.
